  • Work will start soon on a new Children’s theme play area, small animal house - Devil, Wombat and Koala enclosures, Bonsai exhibition area, fifty seater theatre and animal food preparation room.

 

WHAT’S HAPPENING...

  • Careful watch being kept on Tiki, the female Tasmanian Devil as she may give birth in the next two days. Mating occured three weeks ago. 
  • Tiger snake rescue continues with inside feeding in heated house, their condition is improving and only one death this last three weeks. Good sign with two snakes shedding their skins. Herpetology society has begun marking and recording each snake. 
  • Severe winds caused tree damage but aviaries and animals all O.K.

 

JUST ARRIVED...

  • A family of Koalas. Two males and five females, two of them have Joeys in their pouches.
  • Tiger snakes 250. This is the world tiger snake centre with Tigers snakes from Chappell, Forsythe, Christmas, Bruny,  StorehouseIslands and Tasmania.
  • Marsh Owls.
  • A  Swamp Harrier. 
  • Potoroos.
